Same-Day Crowns and the Power of an In-House Lab

The traditional crown experience goes like this: a goopy impression, a temporary crown, a two-week wait while a distant lab does its work, and a second visit hoping everything fits. At Destination Dental, most of that story no longer exists.

It starts with the scan. Instead of impression trays, a small digital wand captures your tooth in seconds, with detail a physical mold cannot match. That scan flows directly into CAD/CAM design software, where your restoration is shaped to your bite.

Because our lab is in the building, design and fabrication happen down the hall, not across the country. For many crowns, veneers, and bridges, that means designed, milled, shade-matched, and placed in a single visit.

The benefit is not only speed. When the people crafting your restoration can walk over and see your smile in person, fit and color stop being guesses. Adjustments that once meant another round of shipping take minutes.

The same technology powers our biggest cases — surgical guides, implant restorations, and full-arch prosthetics all come from the same digital workflow. It is one more part of care that never has to leave the building.
